Lead your caravan to the rescue ship in 90 days before the sun turns supernova!

Backstory

Due to a malfunctioning warp core you drop out of warp very close to a dying star. The ship computer estimates that the star has only about 90 days until it becomes a supernova that will destroy the whole star system. The star is radiating powerful solar flares which disrupt your electronics and initiate a catastrophic chain reaction in your warp core. Just seconds before your ship computer eventually gives up the ghost it detects an unknown ship on the surface of the only habitable planet in the system. You rush to your escape pods and a few minutes later you see your ship exploding behind you. You’re now heading towards the planet’s surface. Your last hope is to reach the unknown ship before the star explodes. However, the journey from your landing site to the ship won’t be an easy task, since the solar flares of the dying star are disrupting all electronics on the surface.

Details of the Scenario

Your faction will be a New Arrivals. You will start with 5 people, chosen from 8. Arrive in drop pods.

Player starting characters have a 100% chance to start with trait: Iron-willed.
Planetkiller: An interstellar planetkiller weapon is approaching this planet. When it hits, it will destroy all life (90 days).

Research conditions:

  • You will start with the following research projects: Bedrolls, Packaged survival meal, Pemmican, Shield belt, Long blades, Passive cooler, Smithing, Psychoid brewing, Brewing, Mortars, IEDs, Incendiary IEDs.
  • Cannot sow plants on the ground.
  • The stat “research speed” will be universally multiplied by 0%.
  • The stat “recruit prisoner chance” will be universally multiplied by 0%.

Incidents created:

  • Journey offer
  • Toxic fallout
  • Ship part crash (psychic)

Incidents disabled:

  • Wanderer join
  • Refugee pod crash
  • Chased refugee
  • Incapacitated refugee opportunity

Solar flare: A solar flare is hitting the planet. This creates extreme electrical interference
and prevents most electrical devices from working.
